Paul and Stephen O'Regan grew up in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia, where their father operated automobile dealerships going back to the Model T Ford days. After an eight-year teaching career, Paul returned to the car business in 1973 starting with a used car lot in Dartmouth.

After graduating as a Professional Engineer from TUNS in 1965, Robert went to Montreal to work for a multinational company. In less than a year, he decided the structure of a large corporation clashed with his entrepreneurial nature. He therefore returned to Halifax and began a specialty construction company, Markland Associates, currently employing over 75 people.

Following his education at Lunenburg High School, Acadia and Dal, Henry started his career in the seafood business with National Sea Products, High Liner's predecessor company. He worked for a Swedish company, Franz Witte, in the early 80's as Managing Director of their Canadian and French subsidiaries.
